Kia ora, my name is Jude Heath, and I have been the Te Tau Ihu O Te Waka a Māui TBG Mountains to Seas Trust Whānau member since 2016. I continued on from our area ambassadors Megan Wilson’s and Helen Forsey’s amazing work! My background has been many adventures and mischief and since I could walk. I have led groups into the outdoors for recreation and adventure since 1991, starting at Whenua iti Outdoor Pursuits Centre for 5 years, teaching others to white water raft and sea kayak in Aotearoa, Canada and Switzerland. From 2004 until 2006, I tutored and coordinated Environmental Studies Programmes for NorthTec in the Maungaturoto and Mangonui around Northland. In 2011, I completed a Bachelor of Teaching Degree and Business Management Diploma. Previously, I lived in Pokororo and now I live in Riuwaka with Scott. My kids Jade and Hunter have departed to University. I am passionate about protecting, enhancing and inspiring others to care for our waterways. Ki uta Ki Tai. In my spare time you will find me outdoors, exploring, swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, never far from a waterway.
