I was hooked on the sea from an early age as dad would dress up as Santa each year and feed the sharks at Kelly Tarltons in Auckland while my brother and I floated about in a dinghy passing him fish. As a result, I was hooked on all things marine – snorkeling, diving, fishing, sailing. I have been fortunate enough to make a career out of messing about in boats all over the world and now find myself in the privileged position of Deputy Harbour Master in Nelson. I am at my happiest when I can share my knowledge of the Moana and help people get the most enjoyment from their time on the water. I want to make sure that everyone continues to have the same opportunities that I have had to play on the tide.
