Bring the whole whānau and dive into the wonders of the Motueka awa (river) with our free, fun-filled drift snorkel adventure! Experience the underwater world guided by experienced snorkel leaders—no prior experience needed, and all snorkelling gear is provided. Learn essential river safety skills while exploring this unique aquatic environment.
Enjoy interactive displays and activities from local environmental experts, including Fish & Game and the Motueka Catchment Collective. Discover the hidden world of macroinvertebrates (river bugs), learn about the Check, Clean, Dry method to prevent the spread of freshwater pests, and engage in other hands-on environmental learning experiences.
After your snorkel, grab a sausage and enjoy connecting with our passionate environmental presenters. This event is made possible through the generous support and collaboration of Tasman Environmental Trust.
